Taking a mock is the expensive part: more than two hours and a lot of energy. The review is where the value is, and it is the part most people skip.

1. Start with time, not answers

Before you read a single explanation, look at where your time went in each section. Find the questions that took far longer than the rest, and see what happened to the questions after them.

2. Sort your wrong answers by reason

For each miss, write the reason in a few words: did not know the method, misread the question, ran out of time, guessed, or slipped on something you knew. The reason matters more than the topic.

3. Look at the right answers you guessed

A lucky guess is a mistake that happened to score. Mark the ones you were not sure of and treat them like misses.

4. Redo, then read

Try each question again without the clock before reading any explanation. If you get it now, the problem was time or nerves, not method.

5. Choose one thing

End the evening with a single sentence: the one habit you will work on before the next mock. Not five. One.

If an evening is more than you have, ChatGMAT reviews it for you, the night you take it.
